Largest Training Skills Centre comes to Southampton

Leading nationwide training provider for mature career changers New Careers Skills has teamed up with Apprenticeship Training Ltd and opened the largest private trade skills training centre of its kind in the UK in Hedge End, Southampton.

Bringing new jobs and business to the area as well as helping solve the current skills shortage issue that is facing the South and the rest of the country, the new centre that provides plumbing and electric courses, stands at 10,000 square foot and has the capacity to train 75 individuals at any one time. Courses in plumbing have been an overwhelming success and the new electricians course is set to launch imminently.

New Career Skills chose Southampton for the location due to its skilled work force, quality commercial premises and accessible communication routes.

The live environment of the centre means that trainees following the courses through theory and practical sessions do so in the best environment. Training bays filled with fully functional basins, toilets, baths and showers all with running water provide the most realistic training frames possible.
