If you are aged between 16 and 18 and live within 30 miles of Southampton we can help you become a plumber starting as an apprentice and learn about plumbing, heating and ventilating in our construction training centre and on the job, working in the real world and earning real money.
The apprentice scheme is Government funded. You won’t have to pay anything for your training and you will receive a wage from your employer while you are on your apprenticeship.
Key facts about our Plumbing, Heating and Ventilating Apprenticeships
You have to be between 16 and 18 years old when you start.
It won’t cost you anything. No student debts!
You will earn at least £95 per week.
We will help you find work as a plumbing apprentice – a real job in a real business.
You will learn some of the skills in our training centre in Southampton (this is a training centre for adults and it does not feel like a school or college) and some of the skills while you are out at work.
You will get nationally recognised qualifications from City and Guilds.
At the end you may carry on working for the same company or you can look for work with someone else or even start up on your own.
What you’ll get:
- A job as an apprentice and paid
- Technical skills and practical skills
- City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing and Heating 6189-11.
- BPEC Water Supply Regulations Qualification
- Functional Skills Training – maths, English, IT, work related skills, health and safety

We have a lot of applicants for these places because we also help you find an employer. So we need to have an application form from you and then we’ll meet up with you to talk about the programme.
