Here are four questions we asked people who took our courses and the responses we received.
Question: You trained for a new career with us. What are you doing now?
New Career Skills Student Feedback: 73% of people are in a new career after re-training with New Career Skills.
We think this is pretty good. If you start training with us for a new career then three-quarters of you will end up in a new career at the end.
Question: What are people doing now in their new career?
New Career Skills Student Feedback:
- 84% are starting or running their own business
- 7% work for a large company
- 9% work for someone else
Most people start off thinking they will work for someone else, and 16% end up working for someone else. Most people finish the course and realise they have the skills, the support and the confidence to go self-employed. They also know that’s where the money is!
Question: If you earn more now, how much more do you earn in a year?
New Career Skills Student Feedback:
- 30% earn £5,000 more
- 33% earn £5,000 to £10,000 more
- 20% earn £10,000 to £20,000 more
- 17% earn over £20,000 more
So if you fancy earning at least £5,000 more a year then why not re-train with us? Who knows – you could even earn £20,000 a year more!
Question: Are you happier now in your new career?
This is a bit subjective – we do not promise the secret to happiness, but we think what we do helps our students to feel better about themselves because they are getting what they want out of work and fulfilling their potential.

- 27% are happier
- 25% are the same
- 22% aren’t happier
Three-quarters of people who re-train with us are the same, happier or much happier at the end of their training. Over half of people end up happier or much happier having taken one of New Career Skills’ courses.
